ADVENTURE #2 - The Fudgery, Hard Rock Cafe, and Busch Stadium!

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I have posted on Blogger and I apologize for not being as active as I want to be. But with that being said, I'm back and its with my new segment... ADVENTURES.

I love to go out and check out my surroundings in my city and check everything that I can. I want to check out the history and all the eateries here. Also do some activities through out the town.

But the best thing about this is I can capture my experiences on camera, edit them and make it smooth and then finally share with the public. So without further adieu, here are my first two adventures! Enjoy and please subscribe!

It Follows - Movie Review

Walking right towards you, it's walking right towards you.

"It Follows" stars Maika Monroe and is about a young woman who has sex with a guy she's seeing and in turn receives some sort of thing that attracts something resembling a person towards her; it can be someone she knows or a completely random person. From there the film is just about her trying to get away from "it" and trying to find a way to get rid of "it" as well.

I must say the only thing that bugged me was the marketing of the film. I went in thinking that multiple beings were going to be following her, not just one. I actually think if there were two or three beings following her it would be more intense and get a lot more scares but there wasn't and there is nothing I can do about it.

With that being said, this film was pretty good. It had good jump scares that weren't cheesy. The suspense was always there in every scene and it made the hairs on the back of your neck stick up. The acting was very good and I bought the dialogue. It was short, but believable and real.

The score of the film was awesome. It was very techno and reminiscent of the what the film "The Guest" sounded like, which also had Maika Monroe. I am looking forward to seeing her in future films, she was very convincing in this role. But the biggest praise I can give this film was the cinematography. It was shot very well and some creepy angles and pans that made you feel uncomfortable and I believe that what its aim was.

Final verdict: I may only watch this movie once or twice more, but it delivers on every aspect. It is creepy, clever, and well shot. I do recommended seeing this and it is better than most of the garbage Hollywood has came out with in the last several years. Definitely go see it.

4 out of 5.
I am taking donations from Paypal! I would like to increase my blu-ray collection but I have to fix my car. If anyone wants to donate to me, that would be wonderful. I'll take one cent or one dollar. Any bit would help. Thank you!

Bedtime Stories (2008) - Movie Review and Huge Announcement

This is the second time I have seen this film. I saw it when it first came out but I really didn't remember anything from the first time I saw it. That is the gist of this film. It is forgettable after watching but I believe if you have an open imagination and can accept that some fairytale like things can happen, you will definitely enjoy this movie.

It is very childish, cliche, and convenient but you won't ask for your 100 minutes back. I watched this on VUDU in HDX and it looked good. The gumball scene looks the best. Children and kids will definitely enjoy this film and since this film, Adam Sandler has definitely had some stinkers... but this one isn't one of them. The Rotten Tomatoes rating is really harsh.

The acting is pretty basic and no one really stands out; but also no one stinks up the joint. Russell Brand's character could be tad bit annoying but other than that, the acting is tolerable. It was paced very well and it wasn't boring at all. I liked the "bedtime stories" because they were entertaining and brought my imagination out. I think the only you can argue was the premise of the film, but remember before you bash it that it was aimed for children and in that aspect it succeeds. I am a child at heart and really had my eyes glued to the screen on this one. It is a good watch-every-once-and-a-great-while film.

Final verdict: Go into this film with an open mind (know that its going to be very cheesy), accept the creativity, and you will enjoy this film once the credits roll. It's not a film that will consume your mind with thoughts, but if its late and you want something to watch just to pass time; this would be an ideal flick.

BKSTA gives this film a 3 out of 5.

Disney Movie Club: Information and Pick-Ups!

Hey everyone! Bksta is back with another post today! As you may know, I joined the Disney Movie Club a few weeks ago. I was on the fence when it came to DMC and didn't know what it really was. It sounded too good to be true and at one point I closed Safari and decided against it. But after doing some research and watching some information videos, I decided it was the thing for me. So check out my video about the Disney Movie Club, some information on joining and the commitments, and finally the movies I picked up from there. Enjoy!
